Established in 1954, the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County has been dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by epilepsy through education, advocacy, research, and connection. They offer a wide range of no-cost programs and services that support people living with epilepsy, as well as their parents, caregivers, families, friends, and anyone in the community seeking to learn more about epilepsy.
The Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County is working to build a future where people living with epilepsy and seizure disorders are treated with respect, dignity and the opportunity to achieve their full potential free from stigma and bias.
Specialized groups for teens, parents/caregivers, young adult women, young adult men, adults, Spanish speakers, bereavement support, tweens, and monthly wellness workshops.
Free training that teaches community members about epilepsy and seizures, including how to recognize different seizure types and respond with safe, appropriate seizure first aid.
A virtual, 8-week depression treatment program designed for adults with epilepsy through Project UPLIFT
Monthly in-person gathering through their Creativity & Connection program (RSVP required)
Support can come in many forms—from peer support groups and wellness workshops to opportunities for families and caregivers to connect.
